There are many benefits of using a laser marking machine over other conventional marking systems for the fact that laser marking, being a non-contact type process, gives accurate and aesthetic marking without actually producing any deformation in the material, as you would find in methods such as punching, stamping, vibrating engravers, pneumatic pins, etcetera. Laser marking is permanent, and thus offers an easy way for electronics manufacturers to create permanent, abrasion-proof marks on their products that remain resistant to chemicals, and can withstand wiping, scuffing, impact, and wear-and-tear.

This is the reason that it can be used as a way of permanently marking a physical item for tracking, either for security or quality control reasons. Laser systems can create clear and accurate logos, enable in-production customization and/or personalization, and engrave bar codes with laser markers. To extract the maximum potential from a laser marker, the system can also be integrated within any manufacturing process.
